About the game
Spider Solitaire is one of the most popular solitaire games, played with two decks (104 cards) and a good dose of patience. Your goal is to arrange the cards in each column in the same suit from King down to Ace, building 8 complete runs. Every finished run leaves the table. With 1 suit it's a relaxing pastime; with 4 suits it becomes a real brain-teaser. Play Spider Solitaire online for free, with no download.
How to play
- Cards are dealt into 10 columns, with 50 cards left in the stock. Only the top card of each column is face up.
- You can place a card on any card one rank higher; the suit doesn't matter (e.g. any 6 can go on any 7).
- To move several cards together, they must form a run in the same suit and in order.
- You can place any card or run in an empty column.
- When you run out of moves, tap the stock to deal one card onto every column. You can't deal while a column is empty.
- A complete King-to-Ace run in one suit is removed automatically. Complete 8 runs to win.

Spider Solitaire tips
- Prefer the same suit: if a card could go in two places, put it on the card of the same suit; same-suit runs can be moved as a block.
- Uncover face-down cards: focus first on the columns with the most hidden cards.
- Empty columns are gold: use them to break up and rearrange long runs, and don't fill them straight away.
- Tidy up before dealing: make every good move you can before tapping the stock; each deal covers every column with a new card.
- Use undo: undo is free and unlimited, so don't be afraid to try different paths.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between 1, 2 and 4 suits? With 1 suit every card is a spade, so building runs is easy. With 2 and 4 suits, building same-suit runs gets much harder.
How are points calculated? A win is worth 10 points with 1 suit, 25 with 2 suits and 50 with 4 suits, plus a time bonus for finishing quickly.
Are records kept for each mode? Yes, your fastest time is saved separately for each number of suits.
Can I get hints? You get 3 free hints per game, and you can watch a short ad for 3 more.
