About the game
Knife Throw is a free, one-tap reflex game where you throw knives at a spinning log. Tap and the knife flies up and sticks in the wood. As the log turns, the stuck knives turn with it. If your new knife touches one already in the log, they clash and the run is over. Stick all your knives and the log bursts: on to the next stage.
The game is endless: stick as many knives as you can and beat your record. As you progress the log speeds up, slows down, stops and reverses, and some logs come with knives already in them. Every 5th stage is a boss: a giant watermelon, a cheese wheel, a simit ring, a giant pizza, a giant cookie and a giant orange. No sign-up needed, just play.
How to play
- Tap to throw: tap anywhere on the screen, or press Space on a computer.
- Watch the gaps: throw when an empty gap between the knives comes round to the bottom.
- Don't hit the knives: touching another knife ends the run.
- Clear the stage: stick every knife shown at the bottom left and the log breaks.
- Beat the boss: every 5th stage is a boss, worth +3 ๐ apples.
- Hit the apples: stick a knife into an apple on the rim to collect it.
Knife collection
Spend your apples on new knives: Red Pocket Knife, Butcher Knife, Emerald Dagger, Ice Blade, Golden Dagger, Night Blade, Fire Blade, Rainbow and the rare Diamond Sword. Your chosen knife is the one you throw and the one you see stuck in the log.
Scoring
Your score is the number of knives you stick in one run. When the run ends you earn points for your score and the stage you reached, with a bonus for every boss beaten. After a clash you can watch a short ad once to continue, or double your points. Sign up for free to keep your record and points and join the leaderboard.

Tips for a high score
- Take your time: there is no timer. Wait for the gap to reach the bottom.
- Read the rhythm: throwing while the log slows or stops is safest. Watch out just before it reverses.
- Spread your knives: fill the log evenly, or you will run out of room for the last ones.
- Don't risk it for an apple: if a knife is right next to the apple, leave it.
- Stay calm in boss fights: bosses need more knives and spin less predictably.
