About the game
Tontish: My Virtual Pet is a sweet, cosy virtual pet game where you look after a little friend of your very own. Tontish is round, squishy and big-eyed, with a tiny leaf sprout on top of its head. It blinks, breathes, giggles when you tickle it and scatters little hearts when you stroke it. When it's hungry it opens its mouth and waits for a snack, when it's tired it yawns, when it gets grubby you'll see little smudges, and when it feels lonely its eyes fill with tears.
The magic is that Tontish lives in real time. Even after you close the game it gets hungry, sleepy and misses you, so when you come back you can see how much it needs you. But don't worry: Tontish never dies, never gets ill and never runs away. At worst it's a little sad, and it cheers right up the moment you're back. That makes it a safe and gentle game for everyone, including young children.
In its five-room home you feed, bathe, tuck in and play with Tontish. Mini games earn you gold, which you spend on food for the kitchen and on hats, glasses, accessories and new colours in the wardrobe. You can even change the wallpaper. Collect XP to level up: Tontish grows a little bigger each level and new items unlock. Play Tontish online free in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer, with nothing to download.
How to play
- Needs: The four bars at the top show Tontish's hunger, cleanliness, energy and happiness. They all drop slowly over time. A bar turning red tells you what it needs, and Tontish also drops hints in little thought bubbles above its head.
- Kitchen: Drag a snack from the tray at the bottom into Tontish's mouth (or just tap it and watch it fly in). Tap the fridge or the 🛒 button to visit the shop and buy more food with gold.
- Bathroom: Rub the soap over Tontish to make bubbles, then drag the shower head over it to rinse them off. A freshly washed Tontish sparkles!
- Bedroom: Turn off the light and Tontish goes to sleep. Its energy refills in real time while it sleeps, so you can close the game and come back later. Once fully rested, it wakes up on its own.
- Playroom: Four mini games: Fruit Shower (catch falling fruit in your mouth and dodge the rocks), Cloud Hop (bounce from cloud to cloud up into the sky), Find the Pair (flip the cards and match the pictures) and Colour Pop (pop the balloons of the wanted colour and leave the rest; every colour also has its own shape, so it's easy to tell them apart). Each one earns gold, XP and leaderboard points.
- Wardrobe: Browse hats, glasses, extras, colours and wallpapers, tap an item to try it on, then tap again to buy it. Everything you buy is yours to keep and swap whenever you like.
- Cuddles: Tap Tontish to tickle it, or stroke it with your finger to make it happy. Swipe left and right or use the menu at the bottom to move between rooms; on a computer the ← → keys work too.

Care tips
- Keep meals balanced: Foods with a green dot (apple, carrot, broccoli, salad...) are healthy and give more XP. Cookies, ice cream and pizza boost happiness fast, but too much junk food in a row gives Tontish a tummy ache.
- Tuck it in before you go: Turn the light off before leaving and Tontish rests while you're away, ready and full of energy when you return.
- Keep the fridge stocked: Spend part of your mini game gold on cheap, filling food like bread, carrots and bananas.
- Visit every day: The daily reward grows each day. Come back 7 days in a row for 120 gold plus bonus XP.
- Playtime means happiness: Mini games make Tontish very happy, but they use up energy too. Remember to put it to bed after a few rounds.
- Try before you buy: You can try on wardrobe items for free, so find your favourite outfit before spending your gold!
FAQ
Can Tontish die or disappear? No. Tontish never dies, never gets sick and never goes missing. If it's left alone for a long time its needs run low and it looks sad, but as soon as you come back, feed it and give it a cuddle, it's happy again.
What happens when I close the game? Tontish keeps living in real time: its needs slowly go down, and if it's asleep its energy fills up. All your progress is saved on the server, so you can carry on from any device.
How do I earn gold? Mini games (up to 80 gold per game), the daily reward, levelling up and achievements all give gold. If you like, you can watch a short ad a few times a day for extra gold or to double a mini game's gold, but ads are never required.
What happens when I level up? Tontish grows a little, you get bonus gold, and new foods and items unlock. The top level is 50.
Can I rename Tontish? Yes. Tap the name at the top and give your friend any name you like.
Is it suitable for kids? Absolutely. Tontish is a calm, gentle game with no violence and no harsh punishments. It teaches care and responsibility in a fun way.
