About the game
Arrow Crossword is a free online take on the arrow-word puzzle, the grid that fills the puzzle pages of newspapers in Turkey and across Europe. Instead of a separate clue list, short clues sit right inside the blue clue squares, and a little arrow shows where each answer starts and whether it runs across or down. Solve thousands of crisp, classic clues like "Musical note", "Tree fluid" or "Young horse", fill in the grid and crack the hidden key word spelled out by the numbered squares!
There are 100 levels from easy to hard: warm up on 7x7 easy grids, speed up on 9x9 medium puzzles and prove yourself on big 13x11 hard grids. Every day brings a new Daily Puzzle that is the same for everyone, so you can build a streak and climb the leaderboard. Nothing to download: play instantly in your browser on phone, tablet or computer.
How to play
- Read the clue square: each blue square describes a word. If a line splits the square, it holds two clues: the top one runs across, the bottom one runs down.
- Follow the arrow: the answer starts in the square the arrow points to. A straight arrow (โธ โพ) starts right next to the clue, a bent arrow (โณ โคต) turns the corner first.
- Type the letters: tap a square and type. On phones an on-screen keyboard appears; on a computer just use your own keyboard. Tap the same square again to switch direction.
- Use the crossings: every letter belongs to an across word and a down word, so the answers you know give you letters for the ones you don't.
- Crack the key word: the numbered squares spell a word in order. Guess it before you finish and those squares are revealed without using a hint.
- When every square is correct the puzzle is complete, and you earn 1-3 stars depending on your time and the hints you used.

You get 3 hints per easy puzzle, 4 per medium, 6 per hard and 3 for the Daily Puzzle. Unfinished puzzles are saved, so you can pick up right where you left off.

Tips
- Start short: two- and three-letter answers ("Musical note", "Not on") usually fall first and feed letters into the long words.
- Learn the patterns: "Not ..." clues often want an opposite, "Young ..." a baby animal, and a clue ending in "ing" or "ed" hints at the word's form.
- Look at the key word early: once a few numbered squares are filled, try a guess. A correct guess reveals letters for free.
- Spend hints at crossings: revealing a letter where two words meet helps both of them at once.
- Stay steady for stars: the timer only runs while you are playing, and it pauses when you take a break.
Frequently asked questions
What is an arrow crossword? It is a crossword where the clues are written inside the grid instead of in a separate list. Each clue square has an arrow pointing to where its answer goes. It is one of the most popular puzzle styles in Turkish and European newspapers.
How many puzzles are there? 100 levels across easy, medium and hard, plus a fresh Daily Puzzle every day. Finishing a level unlocks the next one, and the first level of each difficulty is open from the start.
How does the Daily Puzzle work? Everyone solves the same puzzle that day. It awards points once per day, and solving it on consecutive days grows your streak.
Can I play without signing up? Yes! Your progress is saved on that device. Sign up for free to get on the leaderboard and continue from any device.
