About the game
Fruit Merge is a relaxing yet seriously addictive physics puzzle in the style of the hugely popular "watermelon game" genre. You drop fruit one at a time into a glass jar, and they fall, roll and pile up just like real objects would. As soon as two identical fruits touch, they merge into the next bigger fruit: two cherries become a strawberry, two strawberries become a bunch of grapes... and step by step you work your way up through lemons, apples and pineapples to a big, beaming watermelon!
Every fruit has its own cute little face, merges burst with splashes of juice, and quick chains of merges light up the screen with combo pop-ups. Play Fruit Merge online free, right in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer, with nothing to download. Your score goes on the leaderboard, so you can chase your personal best and compete with friends.
How to play
- On a phone: Slide your finger left and right above the jar to aim, then lift your finger to drop the fruit.
- On a computer: Move the mouse and click, or aim with the โ โ keys and press Space to drop.
- Bring two identical fruits together and they turn into the next fruit up, earning you points. Bigger fruits are worth a lot more.
- Merges in quick succession earn a combo bonus. When two watermelons meet, they pop and vanish with a +250 watermelon bonus.
- If a fruit stays above the dashed red line near the top of the jar for about 2.5 seconds, the line flashes and the jar overflows: game over.
- The side panel (the top strip on phones) always shows your next fruit and the full fruit evolution.
Fruit evolution
Only the five smallest fruits (cherry to lemon) are dropped at random. Everything bigger has to be earned by merging.

Tips
- Keep the big ones in a corner: Park your biggest fruit in one corner (bottom left, for example) and build a line of gradually smaller fruit next to it, so merges can chain into each other.
- Don't bury the little ones: A cherry stuck between two melons can stay trapped for ages. Keep small fruit close together.
- Watch the next fruit: Before you drop, think about where the next one will go and plan two moves at a time.
- Use the roll: Fruit rolls off sloping surfaces. A small fruit dropped on the side of a bigger one can slide right down to its twin.
- Chase combos: Line fruit up so one merge sets off the next, and the chain reaction pays out combo bonuses.
- Mind the line: When the jar fills up and the red line starts flashing, quickly merge something in that area, or use the ๐บ Shake or Pop power-up.
FAQ
Is Fruit Merge free? Yes, completely free. You can play without an account, and if you sign up for free your high scores and points are saved.
When does the game end? If any fruit stays above the red line in the jar for more than 2.5 seconds, the jar overflows and the game ends. There is no time limit, so take as long as you like to think.
What do Shake and Pop do? By watching a short ad you can shake the jar once per game (the fruit settles into new spots) and pop any one fruit of your choice once. When the jar overflows, you can also clear the top fruit once and keep playing.
How are leaderboard points calculated? Every 25 points of score gives 1 leaderboard point. Reaching a pineapple, melon or watermelon adds a bonus, and merging two watermelons earns a big watermelon bonus.
Can I play on my phone? Absolutely. The game is built for touch screens: just slide your finger to aim and let go.
