About the game

Car Parking is a 3D parking game that puts you right in the driver's seat. A chase camera follows your little red car around the car park while you guide it into the glowing green bay without touching a thing. At the bottom left there is a real steering wheel you turn with your finger, at the bottom right the gas and brake pedals, plus a P / R / D gear lever and a handbrake. The controls stay in the same place whether you hold your phone sideways or upright, and on a computer you can play with the keyboard and mouse.

The car handles like the real thing: the front wheels turn with the wheel, the rear wheels follow, steering works the other way round in reverse and the car creeps forward in D even without gas. Shift into reverse and a rear-view camera pops up in the top right corner, while the parking sensor beeps faster and faster as you close in on something. One tap switches the camera between chase, bird's-eye and driver's seat views.

There are 60 levels in six chapters, from easy to tough: straightforward first parks, angled bays, U-turns, slalom cones, reversing in, parallel parking by the kerb, narrow garages and sliding gates, a multi-storey car park you reach by driving up a ramp, boom barriers, cars cruising the aisles, pedestrians on the zebra crossing and timed levels where you race the clock. Play Car Parking online free in your browser on phone, tablet or computer, with no download.

How to play

  • Steering: turn the wheel at the bottom left with your finger or the mouse. It turns one and a half times from lock to lock and slowly centres itself when you let go (you can switch that off in the settings).
  • Pedals: the tall pedal on the right is the GAS, the wide one is the BRAKE. They work while you hold them, and you can press them while you steer.
  • Gears: on the gear lever D is drive, R is reverse and P is park. Tap a letter or slide the knob. The handbrake button holds the car where it is.
  • On a computer: W / ↑ gas, S / ↓ brake, A D / ← → steer, R reverse, F drive, Shift D↔R, Q P, Space handbrake, C camera, P pause.
  • To park: the car has to sit fully inside the green frame, straight (within 12°) and stopped. Shift to P and the level ends at once, or just hold still for a second. If the bay shows an arrow, reverse in.
  • Damage: a light scrape costs one of your three hearts. Run out of hearts, crash hard at speed or hit a pedestrian and the level is lost. On ⏱ levels you have to park before the clock runs out.

Parking tips

  • Go slow, correct often: precision beats speed. In D the car creeps along on its own, so most of the time you only need to ease off the brake.
  • Steer first, then move: in tight spots stop the car, turn the wheel as far as you need, then pull away gently. The car will trace exactly the arc you want.
  • Reverse into parallel spaces: pull up level with the car in front of the gap, shift to R, turn fully towards the kerb and back up. At about 45° swing the wheel the other way to tuck in, then shuffle to straighten.
  • Switch cameras: when you can't judge a gap, tap 🎥 for the bird's-eye view, where the lines are clearest. The driver's seat camera gives you the real driving feel.
  • Rear camera and sensor: in R the camera in the top right shows green, yellow and red guide lines. When the beeping turns into a steady tone, stop.
  • Take the ramp calmly: the ramp in the multi-storey car park is narrow. Drive up straight, turn wide onto the deck and don't speed in the aisles.
  • Give way: moving cars stop if you pull out in front of them, but ram them at speed and you lose. Wait for barriers and sliding gates to open before you go through.
  • Chasing stars: three stars means parking under the target time without a single scrape. Park safely first, then replay for the stars.

FAQ

Is Car Parking free? Yes, completely free. It runs in your browser on phones and computers without any download.
How should I hold my phone? Sideways is the most comfortable: the wheel sits under your left thumb and the pedals under your right. Hold it upright and the controls keep the same layout at the bottom of the screen, so the game is still fully playable. The full screen button gives you a bigger view.
The game stutters, what can I do? The game adjusts its picture quality to your device automatically. If it still stutters, set the graphics quality to "Low" under Settings in the pause menu.
Is my progress saved? Yes. The levels you clear and the stars you earn are saved to your account, and levels unlock in order. Points you earned in the old version of the game stay in your total; the new 3D levels start fresh.
How are points calculated? Every level you clear for the first time earns 1 point (plus a +1 bonus every 10 levels), and every new star earns another point. The leaderboard shows your total points and stars.
I'm stuck on a level, what can I do? Watch a short ad to skip the level, grab +1 heart during play, or after a crash roll the car back a few seconds with the damage repaired and carry on. On timed levels the same reward gives you +20 seconds.
Why does the car turn the "wrong" way in reverse? Real cars do exactly the same: steer right while reversing and the back of the car swings right. The rear-view camera makes it much easier to get used to.
