About the game
Color Lines is a free and moreish brain game where you line up 5 balls of the same colour on a 9x9 board to pop them. It's a fresh take on the classic "Lines" game that people played on computers for years. Pick a ball and move it to an empty square, but there must be an open path. When 5 or more balls of one colour line up across, down or diagonally, they pop. If nothing pops, 3 new balls arrive. Score as high as you can before the board fills up.
You can see the colours of the next 3 balls, so you can plan ahead. The rainbow ๐ joker ball matches any colour. Pop in a row to raise your combo multiplier, and new colours join as your score grows. The game saves itself, so you can leave and continue later. No sign-up needed, just play.
How to play
- Pick a ball: tap a ball and it starts bouncing.
- Move it: tap an empty square. The ball goes there if it can find a path between the other balls (up, down, left, right).
- Line up 5: 5 or more balls of one colour in a row pop and score points.
- New balls: every move that pops nothing brings 3 new balls. The next balls are shown at the top.
- Pause: tap the โธ button at the top or press P / Esc. The game pauses by itself when you switch tabs.
Scoring
- 5 balls: 10 points, and every extra ball is worth more.
- Double line: pop two lines with one move to multiply your points.
- Combo: pop on consecutive moves and the multiplier rises x1.5, x2, x2.5...
- ๐ Joker: matches any colour and saves you in a tight spot.
When the game ends you earn points for the score you made in it. You can undo 3 moves, clear 10 balls once when the board is full, and double your points at the end. Sign up for free to keep your record and points.
