About the game
Trivia Quiz is a free online multiple-choice quiz where you climb a 15-question ladder, one rung at a time. Over 500 hand-picked questions are waiting for you across eight categories: General Knowledge, History, Geography, Science, Sports, Arts & Literature, Movies & Music and a special Turkey & Culture round packed with fun facts about Istanbul, Ottoman history and Turkish food. The questions start easy and get tougher as you go, so use your lifelines wisely, reach the safe havens and try to become champion!
How to play
- Pick a category, or choose Mixed for questions from every topic.
- Each question has 4 answers and a 30-second timer. A correct answer moves you up one rung.
- Give a wrong answer or run out of time and the quiz is over.
- Safe havens: once you get past questions 5 and 10, you keep that rung even if you slip up later.
- Lifelines: 50:50 removes two wrong answers, Ask the Audience shows how the crowd voted, and Skip swaps the question for a new one. Each can be used once per game.
- Not sure? Hit "Walk away" to end the quiz and keep the rung you have reached.

Tips
- Save your lifelines: the first few questions are the easiest. Keep your lifelines for the tough ones after question 10.
- Don't trust the audience blindly: on harder questions the crowd can get it wrong too. If the votes are close, combine it with 50:50.
- Rule answers out: when you're unsure, eliminate the ones you know are wrong and decide between what's left.
- Know when to walk away: if the next safe haven is far off and you're stuck, walking away keeps your rung.

Is Trivia Quiz free? Yes, completely. Play trivia online for free in your browser on your phone, tablet or computer, with nothing to download. Create a free account to save your scores and climb the leaderboard.
Do questions repeat? A question never repeats within the same quiz, and questions you have seen recently are avoided in your next games whenever possible.
How are points calculated? You earn one point for every rung you reach. Answer question 15 correctly and you become champion with a +15 bonus.
I got one wrong. Can I keep going? Once per quiz, you can watch a short ad to carry on with a new question. You can also watch an ad to get back a lifeline you have used.
Do I need to know a lot about Turkey? Not at all. The Turkey & Culture category is optional, and Mixed mode draws from every category. Pick a topic you love and test yourself.
