About the game
Word of the Day is a daily word puzzle: everyone gets the same hidden 5-letter English word, and you have 6 guesses to work it out. Today is day #4! A fresh word drops every midnight, so you and your friends can crack the same puzzle and compare results. Play Word of the Day online free in your browser, on your phone or computer, with nothing to download.
After every guess the tiles change color to show how close you are. Use a little logic, rule letters out, and close in on the answer. Finished today's word? Switch to Unlimited mode and keep solving new words and collecting points for as long as you like.
How to play
- Type any real 5-letter English word and press ENTER.
- Green tile: the letter is in the word and in the right spot.
- Yellow tile: the letter is in the word, but in a different spot.
- Gray tile: the letter isn't in the word at all.
- Letters can appear more than once in the answer.
- Answers are common everyday words, never names or abbreviations, and never simple plurals like "CARDS".

Solve the Word of the Day on consecutive days to build your streak: every day in a row adds another 5 bonus points (up to 50). Using a hint halves the points for that word.

Tips for finding the word
- Open with a word full of common letters, such as "STARE", "CRANE" or "ROUTE", to test several vowels and frequent consonants at once.
- Don't reuse gray letters. They're dimmed on the keyboard so you can spot them easily.
- Move yellow letters around: a letter that turned yellow can't be in that same spot.
- Think about common English patterns like "-IGHT", "-ATCH", "SH-", "CH-" and double letters such as "EE" or "LL".
- When you're unsure, a guess made of five brand-new letters often narrows things down faster than a lucky shot.

When does the word change? Every night at 00:00 (Turkey time, UTC+3).
How often can I play? The Word of the Day can be played once a day. Unlimited mode can be played as often as you like.
Is it the same word as the Turkish version? No. The English and Turkish versions each have their own daily word.
How do I share my result? When you finish, tap "Share". You'll get a grid of colored squares that shows how you did without spoiling the answer.
Is it free? Yes, completely free. Create a free account to save your streak and appear on the leaderboard.
