About the game

Corner Shop Street is a lively, colourful shopkeeping simulation set in an old Istanbul neighbourhood. You start with a single simit cart and fill your cobbled street, shop by shop, from top to bottom. At the top of the hill there is the sea with a ferry and seagulls; below, shops with striped awnings, street lamps, flower boxes, sleepy cats and neighbours strolling by. Queues form in front of each shop, customers sit at the tables sipping tea from tulip glasses, biting into wraps and finishing their plate of beans before leaving with a smile.

With the first coins from your simit cart you open a tea house, a börek bakery, a döner house, a pide oven, a fish sandwich stall, a baklava shop, a Turkish coffee house, a home-cooking diner, a corner grocer, a stone bakery, a kebab grill and a pudding house. Every shop has its own illustration, sign and a busy master inside: the döner master slices the spit, the pide baker works the wood-fired oven, the tea man pours from the samovar. The street lives with the clock: morning sun, orange evening light and glowing lamps at night, pink blossoms in spring, falling leaves in autumn and snow in winter.

The game is free and needs no download: play in your browser in portrait mode on your phone, on a tablet or on a computer. You can start right away without signing up; your progress is saved on the server and moves to your account if you register later.

How to play

  • Tap the queue to serve: Tap the queue or the shop window and the next customer gets their order, then either sits down to eat or walks off munching. Coins fly into your till.
  • Combos and tips: Serve quickly in a row to build a combo; customers leave tips of up to 50%.
  • Don't let the queue overflow: If the queue is full, new customers turn away in a huff, and customers who wait too long give up. Your reputation drops, and a lower reputation brings fewer customers.
  • Grow your shop: Level up with the orange button: more income per customer, a longer queue and new tables on the pavement. Income multiplies at levels 10, 25, 50, 75 and 100.
  • Hire staff: Apprentices, waiters and masters serve customers even when you are not watching, and keep earning for up to 8 hours after you close the game.
  • Mind the bills: A game day lasts 20 minutes. Rent is paid at the end of every day and wages at the end of every game week.
  • Play with neighbours: Share your shop code, visit a friend's street, buy them tea once a day, challenge them to a 24-hour duel and climb the weekly league.

Tips

  • Hire your first apprentice early: An apprentice at the simit cart keeps the queue from overflowing in the first minutes and protects your reputation. Then invest in the tea house.
  • Tables hold customers: In shops with seating (tea house, börek bakery, diner) more tables mean a calmer queue; every few levels a new table appears on the pavement.
  • Save up for milestones: Levels 25 and 50 double the income. If you are a few levels short, use "Max" to jump past it in one go.
  • Decor is small but permanent: Flower pots, string lights and a neon sign bring 8-10% more customers, and the lights make your street glow at night.
  • Use the bank: A deposit at the neighbourhood bank earns 5% interest every game day, so it is a good idea before a long break.
  • Time your 2x customers: Watching a short ad doubles your customers for one game day. Use it when your staff is complete and queues clear quickly.
  • Time your holding: Once you have at least 5 shops you can sell the street, found a holding and start fresh in a new district. Moving when the new shares get close to the shares you already own is usually the fastest way to grow.

FAQ

Is my progress saved? Yes. Your cash, shops, staff, decor, gems and shares are stored on the server. If you play as a guest and sign up later, your street is kept.
Do I earn money while the game is closed? Shops with staff keep serving customers while you are away. When you return you collect up to 8 hours of earnings, and you can double them with an ad.
How do duels work? Tap ⚔️ next to a friend; once they accept, whoever serves more customers in 24 hours wins. The winner gets 10 gems and the loser 2.
What are leagues and the shopkeeper of the week? Every week you compete in the Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond leagues by the number of customers you serve. The top quarter of a league moves up, and the player who served the most customers last week becomes the shopkeeper of the week.
How are points calculated? You earn a few site points every few minutes of play; new shops, daily streaks, quests, duel wins and founding a holding give bonus points. You can earn up to 60 points a day.
