About the game
Whack a Mole is a fast, fun reflex game: cheeky moles pop out of holes in the grass and you bop them with a hammer before they hide again. The rules are so simple that little kids can play right away, while the higher levels really test grown-ups' reflexes.
Every level lasts 40 seconds. Reach the goal score before time runs out to clear the level and earn stars. As you progress the moles get faster, more of them pop up at once, and from level 6 a bigger field with 12 holes opens up. Play as a guest right away.
How to play
- Bop: Tap or click a mole as it pops up. Down comes the hammer and you score.
- Build a streak: Hit in a row for double points at 5 and triple at 10. A mole that escapes breaks the streak.
- Reach the goal: The bar at the top shows how close you are and how many stars you'll get.
- Pause: Tap โธ at the top or press P / Esc. The game pauses by itself when you switch tabs.
Who pops up?
- ๐น Mole: +10 points.
- โ๏ธ Helmet mole: Needs two hits, +25 points.
- ๐ก Golden mole: Very quick, but worth +50.
- โฐ Clock: Hit it for 5 extra seconds.
- ๐ฃ Bomb: Don't touch! You lose a heart. Lose all 3 and the level ends.
- ๐ฅ Chick: Don't hit it, or you lose 20 points.
Scoring and stars
Reach the goal for 1 star, 1.4ร the goal for 2 stars and 1.8ร for 3 stars. You earn site points based on the level and your stars, and you can double them by watching a short ad at the end of a level. Sign up for free to keep your points and join the leaderboard.

- Keep your streak: Most of your score comes from streaks. Don't miss the easy moles.
- Golden first: If several moles are up, hit the golden one first.
- Watch for bombs: They pop up just like moles. Take a quick look before you hit.
