About the game
Screw Sort is a relaxing but tricky logic puzzle: colourful plates are screwed on top of each other and you take them apart one screw at a time. Every screw you remove flies into the box of its own colour; when a box is full, a new one arrives. As plates lose their screws they start to swing, and when the last screw is out they drop. Across 200 levels the number of plates and colours grows, and every level is built from a solution found by the computer, so it can always be solved. Play free in your browser or on your phone, no download needed.
How to play
- Tap a screw to unscrew it; it flies into the open box of the same colour.
- A screw covered by another plate can't be removed until the plate above is gone.
- If no box fits, the screw goes to the holding slots below. When a matching box arrives, it moves there by itself.
- Each box holds 3 screws. Drop every plate and fill every box to clear the level.
- If the slots are full and no free screw fits an open box, you lose the level.
Screw Sort tips
- Boxes first: unscrew the free screws that match the open boxes before anything else.
- Save your slots: every screw in a holding slot uses up space. Be careful once four are full.
- Work from the top: lower screws only open up once the plates above are gone.
- Watch swinging plates: a plate hanging on one screw can cover or uncover screws below it.
FAQ
Is every level solvable? Yes. Levels are generated from a fixed seed and the box order is built from a top-down solution.
Will I lose my progress? No, your highest cleared level is saved to your account.
How are points calculated? Every level you clear for the first time earns 1 point, plus a +1 bonus every 20 levels (up to +10).
I'm stuck, what can I do? You get 3 hints per level, and you can watch a short ad for an extra holding slot.
