About the game
Ball Chain is a free and moreish aim-and-match game. A chain of coloured balls rolls along a winding track towards a ๐ hole. Aim with the shooter in the middle and fire: your ball joins the chain, and when 3 or more balls of the same colour line up, they pop. Clear every ball before the chain reaches the hole to win.
The real fun is in the combos: when you pop a group and the balls on both sides of the gap share a colour, the chain snaps back like a magnet, joins up and pops again. One shot can set off three or four pops in a row. Later levels bring a faster chain, more colours and new tracks: spirals, a rectangular maze and a zigzag. No sign-up needed, just play.
How to play
- Aim and shoot: on a phone, touch to aim and lift your finger to shoot. On a computer, aim with the mouse and click.
- Make threes: 3 of the same colour side by side pop. Longer groups score more.
- Swap colours: tap the shooter (or press Space) to swap your ball with the next one.
- Build combos: if both sides of a popped gap match, the chain pulls back and pops again.
- Keep it from the hole: if the front of the chain falls in, you lose. A flashing red track means hurry!
- Pause: tap the โธ button at the top or press P / Esc. The game pauses by itself when you switch tabs.
Special balls
- ๐ข Turtle: slows the chain for 5 seconds.
- โช Rewind: rolls the chain backwards for a moment.
- ๐ฃ Bomb: blows up the balls around it.
Scoring and stars
Finish without the chain getting close to the hole for 3 stars. Your points depend on the level, your stars and your best combo. If the chain reaches the hole, watch a short ad to push it back and continue, or double your points at the end of a level. Sign up for free to keep your points and join the leaderboard.
