About the game
Basket Shot is a quick, hard-to-put-down basketball shooting game where you flick the ball toward the hoop with your finger. You stand right in front of the basket, either in a packed indoor arena or on a street court at sunset. Swipe up, and the ball spins through the air, shrinking as it flies, before it rattles off the rim or drops straight through the net. The goal is simple: sink as many baskets as you can and beat your record!
The game runs on real physics. The ball follows a natural arc under gravity, bounces off the rim and the backboard, ripples the net as it drops through and falls to the floor below. Clean shots that never touch the rim count as a Swish and earn extra points, and three baskets in a row set the ball on fire, doubling every point. There is nothing to download: play it free in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer.
How to play
- Phone: touch the ball, flick your finger up toward the hoop and let go.
- Computer: click the ball, drag the mouse upward and release it with a quick motion.
- The direction of your swipe aims the shot left or right, and its speed sets the power. If the ball falls short, swipe a little faster; if it flies long, swipe a little slower.
- A regular basket is worth 2 points and a Swish is worth 3. Make 3 in a row and the fire ball kicks in, doubling every point until you miss.
- Use the button in the top right corner to pause the game or end it whenever you like.

| 🏋️ Practice | No clock and no score. The power meter at the bottom of the screen shows how close your swipe speed is to the sweet spot. |

Tips
- Warm up in Practice: a few shots with the power meter teach you the swipe speed that hits the green zone. After that, it is all about keeping the rhythm.
- Swipe toward the rim: the ball starts from a different spot each time, so aim your swipe straight at the hoop rather than straight up the screen.
- Keep your speed steady: the game adjusts the power for the distance, so a consistent swipe matters more than anything.
- Read the wind: in Arcade, aim slightly against the direction of the wind arrow. The stronger the wind, the more the ball drifts.
- Lead the moving hoop: the ball is in the air for just over a second, so throw to where the hoop is going to be.
- Protect the fire: every point counts double while the ball is on fire. Don't rush your shots during a streak.
Frequently asked questions
How is the score calculated? A basket is worth 2 points and a Swish 3, doubled while the ball is on fire. At the end of a game you earn leaderboard points equal to half your score. Time Attack and Arcade records are kept separately.
Do I earn points in Practice? No. Practice has no score and no clock; it is there to help you get a feel for the shot.
Why does the ball sometimes fall short? If you swipe too slowly, the ball won't reach the rim. The on-screen tip tells you whether to swipe faster or slower.
Can I change the court? Yes. Pick the indoor arena or the street court on the mode selection screen.
Can I play on my phone? Yes. The game was built for portrait screens and finger swipes, and on a computer you play by dragging with the mouse.
