About the game
Spot the Difference is a free attention and puzzle game where you find the differences between two pictures before time runs out. At first glance the two pictures look identical, but in one of them a bird has changed colour, a flower pot has vanished, a cat has turned around like in a mirror or a balloon has a new pattern. Just tap the difference on either picture.
Every scene is drawn instantly in your browser: across 14 themes such as a park, a beach, an aquarium, outer space, a forest, a snowy winter village, a kitchen, a kid's room, a city street, a small town, a market, a classroom, a farm and a birthday party, cats, dogs, fish, rockets, snowmen and dozens of cute objects land in new places in every level. That is why the levels are endless and no two pictures are the same. Each level is identical for everyone, so you can compare stars with your friends.
How to play
- Compare the two pictures and tap or click where you see a difference. A found difference is circled in green on both pictures.
- Kinds of differences: missing or extra objects, colour, size, mirror image, rotation, pattern, position and small details.
- A wrong tap costs 5 seconds, so look carefully instead of tapping at random.
- Finish in the green part of the time bar for 3 stars, the yellow part for 2 and the red part for 1.
- When you are stuck, ๐ก Hint shows one difference (2 per level, +2 with a short ad). Use the ๐ Zoom button, pinch or the mouse wheel to look closer.
- The first levels have 5 differences; later levels have up to 10, and they get smaller and more subtle.
Game modes
๐บ๏ธ Levels: Work your way along the level map; finishing a level unlocks the next one. Replay any level as often as you like to earn more stars.
๐ Daily puzzle: A special puzzle with 8 differences, the same for everyone each day. It gives points once a day; solve it every day to grow your daily streak.
โก Time attack: You start with 60 seconds; every difference adds 3 seconds and every finished picture adds 10. See how many differences you can find before time runs out and beat your record.

Tips
- Scan the picture piece by piece: first the top-left quarter, then the top-right and so on. Looking at the whole picture at once makes small differences slip by.
- Look at one object in both pictures and ask: same colour, facing the same way, same pattern, in exactly the same place?
- Do not forget objects near the edges such as clouds, birds and kites; differences often hide there.
- In later levels zooming in helps a lot: enlarge the picture and drag it around to check the small details.
- Speed matters for stars, but a wrong tap costs 5 seconds; when you are unsure, look a moment longer before tapping.

Is Spot the Difference free? Yes, completely free and playable right away without an account. Sign up to keep your level progress and stars on every device.
How many levels are there? The levels are endless. Each scene is generated for its level, so you keep seeing new pictures as you play.
Can I play on my phone? Yes. On a portrait phone the pictures are stacked, on a computer or landscape screen they sit side by side, and you can pinch to zoom.
How are points counted? The first clear of a level gives 3 points (plus 1 more every 20 levels, up to 10) and each new star gives 2. The daily puzzle gives 6 + 3 per star, and time attack gives 1 point per difference found.
